End of Summer Paleo Challenge

The Task:
Eat meat, vegetables, seeds, some fruit and nuts, little starch and no sugar. Stay strict.

The Rules:
1. You must take a before & after photo.
2. You must keep a nutrition log (app, pen&paper, or photos).
3. You must be honest with yourself & your partner…yes, your parter.

Your Partners:
Groups of 2-3 will hold each other accountable. If you are a paleo virgin, you should find a seasoned veteran and vice versa. Your partner may not be living with you, your best friend, or someone who will let you cheat. Partners will share nutrition logs. I recommend daily photos (of every single thing you eat). Why? Because it’s THE best method we have found for keeping yourself from making bad decisions. You may share however you like. If daily isn’t possible, then shoot for every few days.

How it works:
You will buy into the challenge for $10. All entry fees go into the Paleo Pot. For 30 days you will eat as strict clean paleo as possible.

But cheats happen:
You borderline cheat, ie. have cold cuts, red wine, an entire bag of trail mix, beef jerky from the gas station..quasi-paleo foods. You put $1 in the Paleo Pot for the day. You give yourself 1 point for every kinda, but not really clean paleo slip.

You really cheat, ie. have a serving of bread, soy, your favorite yogurt, a Paleofied meal (ie paleo pizza..you’re missing the point). You owe the Paleo Pot $5 for the day. You owe yourself 5 points per massive slip.

Your gut explodes because the day went horribly wrong. You put $20 in the Paleo Pot. You give yourself 20 points. You just spent an additional $20 on a cheap slice a pizza. Why? Stay out of this category.

So, in this challenge points are bad and you will literally pay for bad food choices. You will submit point by the end of each Monday. First submission due August 26th.

Surprise mini WODs may pop up every now & then to get rid of some of those points.

The Prize:
Overall male & female with the lowest points will split the Paleo Pot 50/50. A “Spirit of the Challenge” will be chosen who will pick a Hero, benchmark, or design their own workout to be performed on Day 31. Everyone wins self respect and a refreshed outlook on eating and performance.
