It’s that time of year. You’ll be hard pressed to head to the Square on an early weekend morning without running into a group of fun runners. Word is out that CFSQ does a good warm up and we’re being invited to lead them left and right. Maggie Alfieri (lady in red) made her first public CFSQ appearance a few weeks ago. So, meet Maggie..
From an early age, Maggie has been involved in athletics where injuries are common. After swimming in high school, she noticed that many of her friends developed injuries during their college sports careers. This shaped her passion for helping others. Utilizing her sports knowledge, she gained an edge in her field. She has helped many of her collegiate and amateur athlete clients recover from injury and send them back on the field.
Maggie completed the Personal Training Program in April of 2014 at the Atlanta School of Massage and has found new passion for running; completing her first 5k during the Atlanta Hunger Walk. She believes that avoiding injury through personal training and shortening recovery time with massage is a formula for success. Maggie currently holds a massage license in Georgia and California.
Maggie has teamed up with Eric to grow Square Massage at CFSQ. If you act quick, they are giving 3 60-minute massage for $150. Checkout all details here.
Whole Life Challenge starts May 3rd!
What: WLC Kickoff – Nutrition Talk, Rules Briefing, Measurements and Workout
Date: May 3
Time: 10:30-12:30
Cost: Free
How do points work in the Whole Life Challenge?
Every day you can earn up to 11 points
For Nutrition you START the day with 5 points (how cool is that?), and subtract 1 point each time you eat a nutrition no-no. For example, if you decide to eat toast with your breakfast, that will cost you a point. Wine with dinner? Another point. Your score is the number of points (out of 5) you’re left with at the end of the day.
For Exercise you’ll earn 2 points each day for doing ANY kind of exercise – from a hard core monster workout to running or yoga, or even active recovery like biking around town or playing Frisbee on the beach with friends. If YOU say it was “exercise” for you, then it counts!
For Mobilization you’ll earn 2 points each day when you do at least 10 minutes of stretching or mobilizing. You can do any type you like – even a yoga class counts. No massage, though… you gotta do this one yourself!
For Supplements you’ll earn 1 point each day for taking the supplement of your choice. This one’s up to you, but it’s gotta be the same one every day. We like supplements like fish oil, vitamin D, probiotics, magnesium, and B-12. But really, it’s up to you.
In the Lifestyle category you’ll earn 1 point each day for taking on the current lifestyle practice. These rotate over the course of the Challenge. Don’t worry, we’ll warn you! This category includes things like sleep, meditation, water, etc.
This is a lifestyle program. If you have goals, this program is designed to have you do what it takes daily to reach your goals. The WLC is primarily a program for accountability. The results that people get in the WLC come from 8 weeks of personal accountability to the program they are currently training.Questioning if the WLC is for you? Go here to find specific answers.
