Watch: Athletes Don’t Wear Flip Flops. Summer is upon us and that means little slices of cheap rubber are the mainstay fashion choice for many. Almost as terrible as wearing high heels or tossing back a Coke, flip flops are the worst choice. If you take what you do in the gym seriously or don’t want to walk like a hobbit in 20 years, throw them in the recycling bin asap.
