CFSQ members, Kriston and Jade, randomly running into each other at Hartsfield-Jackson decked out in proper attire: priceless.

The live announcement of 14.5 goes down tonight at 8pm, a bittersweet moment. Soon after the announcement, five CrossFit Games champions will set the scores to beat. Four thousand fans will pack the stands at the Kezar Pavillion in San Francisco to watch Rich Froning Jr. (2011, 2012, 2013), Jason Khalipa (2008), Graham Holmberg (2010), Samantha Briggs (2013), and Annie Thorisdottir (2011, 2012). Watch the live show here.

Reminder that Strength class is cancelled until next Wednesday as Vanessa and Dave head to Nola for their wedding shower. (Getting excited for the June wedding…a huge chunk of the gym is either in the wedding or attending as a guest and a slew of CF & powerlifting royalty. It’ll be one for the history books!)

The weather is looking good for Sunday’s BBQ. We’re still looking for the next Bobby Flay. If you have grill skills and want to help, let us know! While an RSVP isn’t required, we are trying to get somewhat of a headcount to purchase the right amount of food. Join our Facebook event (more details can be found here also) or email ivy@crossfitonthesquare.com and let us know how many are in your party. This will be rain or shine. We’re predicting the BBQ to last until 3pm.

And finally, Saturday night: Blues & Brews for Barry!  Ticket proceeds go towards sending Barry Costello to a speech program following a massive stroked suffered two years ago. Barry is a close family friend to Lea & Molly and the father of former CFSQ member, Carly. Lea has worked tirelessly to put this amazing event together. It goes down from 5-9pm at Red Hare Brewing Company. Your tickets gets you beer, souvenir glass, 3 bands, access to food, raffles and more. (and it’s Kelvin’s birthday!) Join us!
